Along with a warm welcome for the golfers, Sounds of Isha set the tone for the day with some lively morning music. Along the course’s sidelines, warming up with a golf club was Rakul Preet – the popular south Indian actress, who is an Isha Vidhya Brand Ambassador and a national level golfer. Rakul Preet explained why she was so eager to be part of the event: "It's nice how Isha brings about transformation through sports and it's fantastic how it is helping take education to rural India. I thank Isha Vidhya for bringing a change through golfing."

Chairman of Oxford Golf Resorts Pune, Anirudha Seolekar, opened the event with a speech on how happy he was to be part of the event. "I feel blessed to be here. I thank the entire Isha Vidhya team for working tirelessly to bring education to these children. I think it's one of the greatest contributions to the country. I love to interact with the Isha Vidhya students and the golfers must visit these schools."

The air became electric as Sadhguru made his entrance and took his first shot, to signal the start of the event. Ashok Vaidya, Nandkishore Desai, Gaurav Sehgal, Vinay Rathi and Ajit Agarkar were some of the well-known faces at the event, supporting the cause.

The golfers also interacted with Isha Vidhya students through a Livestream, and they shared a few light-hearted moments with the children. Sadhguru was found good-naturedly thanking the standee of an Isha Vidhya student, and gracefully received a handmade doll designed like a Bharatnatyam dancer from the Isha Vidhya students, which was for well-known Bharatnatyam dancer Radhe Jaggi, Sadhguru’s daughter.

Isha went plastic-free for this event as they equipped the golfers with refillable water bottles, urging them to keep the environment pollution-free. All the golfers were in high spirits throughout, knowing that this was one game where the cause was more important than victory. Winners were awarded trophies and the golfers left with the elation of doing their part for the education of rural children.
